Jagdamba Motors TVS, the sole authorised distributor for TVS Motor Company India, has launched the 125cc Raider motorcycle in the Nepalese market. The BS4 TVS Raider 125 is available at an introductory price of Rs 2,47,900. The Raider 125 directly goes up against established players like the Honda Shine, Hero Glamour, and the upcoming Bajaj Pulsar 125.The design language of the TVS Raider 125 surely stands out in the commuter space. The Raider 125 gets an all-LED headlamp along with stylish looking angular LED DRLs, as well as LED-tail-lights, a muscular tank, sharp belly-pan, and a split-seat setup. The Raider comes with a negative LCD dash displaying a plethora of information like fuel efficiency readout, a top and average speed indicator, and a stop/start system indicator. The bike misses out on the riding mode.
However, powering the TVS Raider 125 in the Nepalese market is a 124.8cc, three-valve, BS4 engine that makes 12.7 hp at 8000 rpm and 11.5 Nm of torque at 6500rpm. This engine is carburetted and comes paired with a five-speed gearbox. The motorcycle boasts a best-in-class acceleration of 0-60 km/h in 5.7 secs, says the company.Speaking on the occasion, R Dilip, President – International Business, TVS Motor Company, said, “For our millennial and digitally native Gen Z customers, we have consistently introduced products with best-in-class features and technology.
